EFFECTIVE WAYS TO CREATE YOUR TRANSFORMATION IN THERAPY
Examples of the Work We Can Achieve, Together
Use proven methods that focus on your sensory information (bottom-up processing) or prior experiences and knowledge (top-down processing) to create your meaningful change and reach your personal goals

Mental Health Screening Tools
Unsure of your mental health issue or present symptoms?
Mental Health America offers free screening tools that may help you understand your experience.
Note: These tools allow for a snapshot of your experience and do not provide a diagnosis. Only a mental health provider can use your results, along with other information, to identify your clinical diagnosis.
Dr. Neff (an Autistic-ADHD psychologist) at Neurodivergent Insights has compiled multiple resources to help individuals through Autistic self-discovery. You can access the PDF resource here.

YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
For busy adults in North Carolina who do not want to devote time to weekly sessions.

THERAPY INTENSIVES
By committing to sessions that are longer in length (i.e., multiple hours), you can focus on managing your anxiety, improving your interpersonal communication, or processing trauma within a shorter period of time.
This personalized therapy format ramps up the therapeutic process and delivers results faster than weekly therapy.

Collaborative Agendas
Start each session with an agenda agreed upon by both the counselor and client.
The meeting outline is based upon a mix of things, including the prior session, established treatment plan, and events needing immediate attention. Your time and presence is invaluable, so rest assured you will know what to expect in each session.

Evaluation of Overall Wellness
Your mental health does not exist in isolation.
In counseling, we will also touch upon your overall wellness and self-care. For example, we will review your sleep hygiene, ensure your schedule incorporates time for rest and movement, and find ways to have playful moments throughout the day.

Feedback Gathered
Each individual is different. Every session is, too.
After every meeting, clients share their impressions of the session and feedback on their therapeutic experience in real-time. This can look like offering input on what did and did not work. This also serves as an opportunity to check in on the therapeutic relationship.

Learning Style Accommodated
People learn best through select ways.
We will touch base on your preferred method of learning. Whether it be kinesthetic, auditory, visual, reading/writing, or something else, your preference will be accommodated as best as possible. You will also receive resources that fit your needs.

HOW HOMEWORK AND YOUR MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING MAY GO TOGETHER
You determine the amount of time and effort put into therapy.
One size does not fit all. I listen to your available time and abilities, along with your level of motivation and interest, and modify exercises, practices, and any in-between therapy session homework based on feedback from you.
